Christmas games Musical Presents

Posted by christmas - October 12th, 2003

Musical Presents game is played like hot potato. My parents/family would buy presents, cheap trinkets at the Dollar Store, and wrap them up in several layers of wrapping paper.

There were enough presents to go around so every kid got something. They would wrap each present in several layers, usually around nine or 10 layers.

We’d sit in small groups, and form a circle. My mom would start the radio, playing a tape or CD of Children’s Christmas music. When the music stopped, who ever is holding the present gets to remove a layer of paper. Then we’d start playing the game again.

The game ended when the last layer of paper was removed, and the person who removed that layer got to keep the present.
