Best Christmas Movies

Posted by christmas - December 11th, 2010

I’m sure there’s more than one Christmas film that you watch every holiday season, or that causes you to get angry or sad when you miss its yearly television airing, but if you had to name a favorite, which movie would it be and why?

I wish I could say I’ve seen the timeless classics like It’s A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story and the original Miracle on 34th Street, but seeing as I haven’t yet, my choice is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (with The Santa Clause being a close second).

No matter how many times I’ve seen it, I still laugh out loud at many instances during the movie. European Vacation and Vegas Vacation are nothing compared to this film.

Here is my favorites list:

Yule Log

A Very Soapy Christmas

Arthur’s Perfect Christmas

A Very Married Christmas

It’s a Wonderful Life

I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown

Santa Clause (the movie)

Home Alone (1 & 2)

Miracle on 34th Street

The Elf

A Christmas Carol w/ Jim Carrey

The Year Without Santa Claus

Holidaze: The Christmas That Almost Didn’t Happen

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Frosty the Snowman

Frosty Returns
