Christmas time is my favorite time of the year for decorations
Christmas time is my favorite time of the year for decorations. I have for many years used the giant string of lights and placed them along the top of the trim in my living room. My children love it still and now all 5 grandbabies beg for them at the first site of all the decorations.
I also have a village that is placed upon the bar in the kitchen in which I place cotton balls around for a snow like effect. I have several pieces that go to this collection including a church, a town store and many others.
I then place the small sting of lights around it to light it up. It is so beautiful. I also have a collection of glass snowmen that are placed on top of my entertainment center and I also place the cotton around for snow.
My Christmas tree for some reason gets many compliments every year. I love a lot of lights and I do not like a ton of decoration on the tree. I have some small glass heart bulbs, some clear with gold strung through them that I like to use together.
I have several different themes as well as bulbs and lights that I take turns from one year to the next. I also decorate the outside of my home as well. I cycle lights, a new fresh wreath which we purchase every year. I also have Mr. & Mrs. Claus that my dad made long ago that I place in the yard.
The windows of my son room are usually decorated with lights and window clings that the kids love applying. My packages are usually wrapped in a theme. I try to keep the girls and boys with different paper and bows. I use different paper for both of my older girls and for my boy friend as well. We love Christmas and the decorating is part of all the fun!!
