Designer purse is a good Christmas present for 20 something girls

Posted by christmas - September 17th, 2008

I am a 23 year old female, who usually doesn’t care about Christmas. I usually get the same gifts every year from family and friends. Different items of clothing and gift cards from department stores.

I had been dating my boyfriend since August, and we were semi serious. We hadn’t told each other “I Love You” yet. He had told me at the beginning of November, when he had gone out of town to visit his mother that he saw this Coach purse and thought about getting it for me.

I asked him if he was crazy, we’ve only been dating for three months at this time. He told me don’t worry, I didn’t get it. He told me he didn’t have the money to buy that purse for me. I’m glad he didn’t, because my gift to him wasn’t going to be that expensive.

I even asked him what he wanted and he just kept telling me not to buy him anything. I said fine, but if I’m not going to buy you anything, I don’t want you buying me anything either. We agreed.

About four days before Christmas, we went out to dinner. We had a great dinner and afterwards got into his car and went to the park. He told me to reach under my seat. I did and there was a big pink plastic bag.

I reached into the bag, and there was the Coach purse, just as he described it. I screamed, because I’ve never owned any kind of designer purse before. Then I yelled at him for buying it when he said he wouldn’t.

He said oh, well I didn’t when buy it, the first time I saw it. Then began to tell me he left early this morning, drove four hours away to where his mother lives, hoping that the purse was still there, and it was.

I hugged him and thanked him for it. But then I felt really bad. He drove a total of eight hours to surprise me with a wonderful purse, and I still didn’t get him anything!
