Excellent Christmas gift for two year old boy
As a thirty-three year old female, I have had a lot of different Christmas experiences. But, last Christmas I had the opportunity to experience exactly what Christmas is all about.
We did not have much money last Christmas, I had just started my own business and we were finding it hard to get by on my husbands income.
Now, at this point we did not know what we were going to do about buying our little boy a nice Santa gift. He loves trains and tractors and I had found the perfect gift. It was a John Deere choo choo train that he could ride on.
It came with its own track and everything. The only problem…it was one hundred dollars. Where was I going to get a hundred dollars to buy this awesome gift? The answer came in a Christmas present I received from my grandmother.
She had sent my husband and I exactly one hundred dollars as a gift for our Christmas present. With our hundred dollars in hand, we went to the store and purchased that John Deere choo choo train with track.
On Christmas morning, it was worth it. My husband had stayed up on Christmas Eve putting stickers on the train, charging the battery, and setting up the track so that it was in the middle of the living room in front of our Christmas tree.
When our son woke up that morning and saw that train…he smiled from ear to ear. That was the only present he cared about all day long. So, even though my husband and I did not have a lot of money to spend, we had each other.
And my son, well he had the best Santa present he could ever hope for at the young age of two years, because his great-grandma sent his mommy and daddy Christmas money for a gift.
We did not need money to make us happy, as long as we were together, but we were glad to be able to make our sons Christmas special. He still to this day plays on that train sometimes. It seems to be one of his favorite toys.
