For Christmas this past year, I got quite a few wonderful gifts
Some of my favorite memories of Christmas gifts are from when I was a child. My mother was a gift on her own, as she was born on Christmas day!
Every year we celebrate her birthday first, by having her favorite meal which is eggs Benedict with mimosas.
We would get up and open our Christmas stocking and then start making breakfast. My sister and I would prepare the meal, and then wake our mother up for breakfast, giving her the rare chance to sleep in.
During breakfast, she would open her birthday gifts. Once her birthday breakfast was finished, and the dishes were done, we would gather around the Christmas tree and each of us would take turns opening our presents.
For Christmas this past year, I got quite a few wonderful gifts. My husband gave me a lambskin thigh length black jacket with a beautiful purple silk lining that fits me perfectly.
My sister gave me a visit from her! Being that she lives in another country, this was a fantastic gift. My mother-in-law and father-in-law gave me clothing, and took my husband and I out to dinner.
It was the first time they have eaten in a restaurant in almost twenty years, so this was very memorable.
My father was in the hospital around Christmas and was finally able to come home, this was a wonderful gift in and of itself, although it was not exactly given to me.
My favorite gift of all though was a kitten my husband gave me! He was able to get her from an old friend of his he went to school with and she would have had to go to a shelter if we did not adopt her. She is black and white with a pink nose and green eyes and I think she is the cutest kitten ever!
