Gift ideas for 30 year old woman with 3 children

Posted by christmas - December 10th, 2008

I am a 30-year-old female with 3 children. Last year for Christmas I was given a special edition of the board game Scrabble. I love that gift, just wish I could get someone to play it with me now.

My husband gave me a new set of pots and pans – not very romantic, but badly needed. He also gave me a power drill so I would stop asking his dad if I could borrow his.

Again, not very romantic, but I was thrilled it was for me since he can’t be trusted with a tool at all! My mother gave me a blanket wrap – it’s the softest and coziest fabric I’ve ever had near my skin!

She also gave me a gift card to JCPenny so I could finally get some nice curtains for my living room. I used the gift card to buy gifts for my sister-in-law’s wedding gift.

I’m running out of excuses why I haven’t bought my curtains yet when my mom asks about it! My mother also bought me a cheap coffee maker so she and my father could have coffee when they come over for Christmas breakfast!

My sister gave me a beautiful picture frame that says “Sisters” on it with a pic of us and our other sister when we were kids.

My aunt gave me a pair of pink socks bought to raise funds for breast cancer research and a cookbook from Habitat for Humanity. I like gifts like these, I get something nice but the money spent on them goes to a great cause.

My cousin and her husband came from Australia to celebrate the holiday with us and they brought me an Australian cookbook. Some of the recipes are fantastic! Some others are a bit creepy though I have to say like croc filets! Even if I could get crocodile meat around here, you wouldn’t see me eating it.

My best friend’s mom quilted a stocking for me made out of my kids baby clothes. I keep it locked in the safe all year long now so nothing bad can happen to it. It’s beautiful, special, and full of memories.

And my favorite gift was an ornament my husband helped my boys make for me. It’s front and center on this years tree and I really hope I get another ornament made by them every year!

Share your Christmas experience, we are impatient to read it :-)
