Gifts for 19 year old girl
Last Christmas we did not get a chance to celebrate Christmas as much as we usually do. However, Christmas is more about giving than receiving, right?
I am 19 years old and female.
From my grandpa, I received a new LG Vu phone, which I very much liked as I needed a new one, and it was touch screen. Very impressive, so I fell in love instantly. From my step-mother, I received a bucket of homemade cookies, which was my favorite gift of all.
I love homemade things, and food is the way to the heart. From my grandmother on my dad’s side of the family, I received an electric mixer for cooking. I do not currently have a need for this (although I like cooking, but we already own one in my house), so I was slightly disappointed, even though I know I shouldn’t be.
However, I am thankful and hope that when I graduate from college, I can use this in my own home. From my aunt on my dad’s side of the family, I received a card with a twenty dollar bill inside.
It wasn’t the most thoughtful gift, but I very much appreciated that they got me anything at all, since I am not close to my dad’s side of the family. And the money went to good use – food.
I hope that when I get a career of my own, I will be able to afford gifts for all these people. As for funny stories… at our Christmas dinner and present opening, my Aunt unwrapped a gift that initiated an expression that was priceless.
It was one of her old CD’s that she left at my grandparent’s house. She looked up at them, forced a smile, and said “Oh, my CD. Thank you for returning it?” And they laughed, told her to open it, and then she turned completely red.
They had used the case to put a gift card inside. I wish I had caught in on video as it made me crack up. Definitely best part of Christmas this year was that one event.
