I got a beautiful gold and diamond watch last Christmas from my husband. It was our first Christmas together since we got married and our daughter was born. He took a friend with him to help pick it out. It has hearts on it to match the Valentines and wedding gifts that he bought for me.
It was really beautiful and more expensive than what I was expecting since I was seven months pregnant with our second baby. When he brought it home he could not even wait until Christmas Eve to give it to me.
He gave it to me that same day so that I could be wearing it when we went to his family’s house for the holidays. Even his mom went on and on about how nice it was. He is a little older than me and has really great taste.
The jewelry that he gets for me is really nice, I’m only 23 now so I am not used to having really expensive pieces but I appreciate the thought more than the cost. He knows that hearts are my favorite so he always buys me something with diamonds and hearts.
The watch is still my favorite piece because he went out and go me something on his own. He had paid attention that I had looked at some in a catalog one night so that was what he bought me.
He brought his sister with him when he gave it to me so that she could play with our baby and I could take my time to open the gift and tell him thank you without an eight month old trying to take it away from me.
It was the nicest present I ever got. He said I could use it to time the contractions when I went into labor so that I could tell him when it was time.
