I like very simple Christmas decoration for my tree
I like very simple Christmas decoration for my tree. My husband and I have carefully selected ornaments throughout our travels, we have several from Disney world, that we hang on our tree. Each ornament has personal meaning to us.
We do not hang any of the “cheap” ornaments. We also put a string of white lights on the tree as well as just a bit of tinsel for shine. We also try to put an Angel on top instead of a star. WE like to decorate the entire tree, but our cat will often knock down ornaments, so by the time it is time to take the tree down, only the top 1/2 is decorated!
We also like to put out as many Christmas themed knickknacks as possible. We have a Nicholas Sparks Christmas village, which includes a candy shop and police station, that we set-up every year.
I also like to put out items that may not look the prettiest, but are certainly personal to me. Since we live in an apartment, we are not able to decorate outside. We also have to use a fake tree.
However, we will always purchase either Bath & Body Works or Yankee Candle Christmas-Tree scented candles that we will burn all season. We will typical put up our decorations the Saturday before Christmas and will keep them up until New Year’s Day.
As we buy and wrap presents we also put them out under the tree. Oh, and of course we have stockings for ourselves as well as our cat.
