I think it would be a wonderful gift to receive a house
When my grandfather died he left a house to each of his three sons. I think it would be a wonderful gift to receive a house. My dad and his brothers knew for years which house they would inherit and so they could plan in their minds what they would do with it. I think if someone were to give me a house I would like a little bit of a choice in what kind it would be.
I actually don’t know anyone who could afford in today’s economy to give me a house but it would be a great dream of mine to own a house outright and not to have a mortgage on it. I think I would like a condominium in a major city.
One that would be near all the shopping and theaters and exciting things that that city would have to offer. It would have a very secure security system and a doorman to collect packages and help with carrying things if I needed any help. I would have an area secluded from the street where the residents could sit under the trees but there would be enough privacy so if you wanted to be by yourself you could be.
It would also have a patio or balcony that would be totally private and have some greenery to make you feel that you were on your own land. I would like it to have a master bedroom that would be big enough for our king-sized bed and large furniture and also have an area where you could have a small table with 2 chairs so you could sit and have coffee in the morning.
Where you could be private and away from the rest of the house. I suppose it should also have a coffee maker and a small refrigerator! Of course, the master bath would be right off the bedroom and should have 2 sinks as well as a separate tub and a large shower with jets that come at you from all sides.
The bathroom could open unto an area with an outdoor spa. I would like to have at least two extra bedrooms, although three would be fantastic. Two of the bedrooms could have a bathroom with just a shower and no tub. I would like a formal living room and then also a family room which is where we would keep the TV. I don’t like having the television in the main living room.
The computer would also be in the family room and we might also have a personal one in the bedroom. I like deep, rich colors in my decorating and lots of light but with drapes on the windows so they can be drawn at night. Since I have no small children any longer I am not in need of an area with other small children but I don’t mind being around them. What a nice Christmas present that would be!
