I would definitely want a house for a Christmas gift
I would definitely want a house for a Christmas gift. The first thing I would do after moving in the furniture would be to set up the Christmas tree. After that was done I would get out my holiday tea set and other decorations.
I would have something special for dinner like oyster stew followed by cake. It really wouldn’t matter about gifts, I would have everything I wanted for Christmas. I would say that it really isn’t probable that I would get a house for Christmas, but it isn’t impossible.
I would like to get a house that has a first and second floor with possibly and attic. There should be a laundry room, a good sized kitchen, at least two bedrooms, a dining area and a cozy living room. An office area would be nice too, but wouldn’t be necessary.
I would prefer hardwood floors because I have allergies and they are easier to take care of. I would rather have an older home or at least one with character. I like the look of the craftsman style of architecture.
The yard would not need to be large. I prefer flowers and trees over lawn. There is more privacy that way and it cuts down on allergy symptoms. It would be cool if the house had decorative windows, like stained glass.
The interior walls wouldn’t be white, but pastel shades. There would be yellow in the kitchen, ecru in the dining area, mint green in the living room and my bedroom would be in robin egg blue.
The outside of the house would be in yellow with brown trim. I would like raised flower bed with decorative stone work. The house would have a fireplace, but I wouldn’t use it. Red brick would be nice for that.
