It would be a dream come true to get a house for Christmas! The only person that I think who could/would get me that for Christmas is the person whose website I’ve run for the past six years. I know if he could, he would do it for me.
My dream house is an old Tudor style home. I’m thinking three stories and a basement. It would have five bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. I also imagine a formal living room and dining room, as well as a den, family room and a very large eat-in, gourmet kitchen with black and chrome appliances.
All the rooms would have a distinctive look, but they would have to be classy and elegant.
For example, the kitchen would have an elegant Italian motif and the bedrooms would each be patterned after the personality of the occupants. I also imagine an enclosed porch so we could sit out every season and enjoy the beautiful views of the gorgeous, English garden with maze paths and a wonderful gazebo.
An below ground swimming pool would top of everything. Both the basement and attic would be finished so there would be plenty of room for parties and overnight guests. I would love this house to be in a nice, quiet residential suburb.
I imagine it would be a neighborhood where all of the neighbors know each other and would frequently get together for barbecues in the summer and holiday parties in the winter.
Of course, education is very important and I would want this home to be located in an area where the school districts are one of the tops in the state and where there is a high expenditure per student ratio.
I also think it would be great to live in a place where there were many community activities such as Christmas tree lighting ceremonies and summer concerts in the park. Also many clubs for its residents to join. Things suitable for all different age groups and interests.
