Lyrics Alvin and the Chipmunk Christmas song

Posted by christmas - October 5th, 2008

Alvin and the Chipmunk Christmas song has to be my all time favorite song. I remember the song from when I was a child. Every Christmas my mom would put in the CD and we would listen to it while decorating the house and the tree.

When this song comes on we would all sing it together. The CD would be played all throughout the Christmas season.

Lyrics Chipmunk Christmas song

All right you Chipmunks! Ready to sing your song?
I’ll say we are!
Yeah!
Let’s sing it now!
Okay, Simon?
Okay!
Okay, Theodore?
Okay!
Okay, Alvin? Alvin? ALVIN!
OKAY!!!

Christmas, Christmas time is near,
Time for toys and time for cheer,
We’ve been good, but we can’t last
Hurry Christmas, hurry fast,
Want a plane that loops the loop,
Me, I want a hula hoop,
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas, don’t be late.

Okay fellas, get ready.
That was very good, Simon.
Naturally.
Very good Theodore.
Ahkhkhkh.
Ah, Alvin, you were a little flat, watch it.
Ah, Alvin? Alvin. ALVIN!
OKAY!!!

Want a plane that loops the loop,
I still want a hula hoop,
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas, don’t be late.
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas, don’t be late.

Very good, boys.
Let’s sing it again!
Yeah, let’s sing it again!
No, That’s enough, let’s not overdo it.
What do you mean not overdo it?
Overdo it?
We want to sing it again!
Now wait a minute, boys …
Why can’t we sing it again?

My favorite Christmas song would have to be Christmas Don’t be Late by the Chipmunks. I remember first hearing this song when I was about five years old. Christmas morning, the song brings back a lot of great childhood hood memories, from a time when things were a lot simpler.

If you will, I remember getting up at the crack of dawn waking my mother and wanting to get downstairs to see what Santa had brought, and the record she would play while we sat there eyes wide open with anticipation is the Chipmunks Christmas don’t be late.

One of the best parts of the song is when Alvin is singing about wanting a hula hoop (just his voice is so cool) and in the very beginning when the gang is suppose to be getting ready to sing the song and Dave realizes that Alvin is nowhere to be found as always and you here Dave yelling ALVIN!!

And Alvin reply’s OK and then they just start singing away. As a footnote about this song I would say that it is a great song from yester-year that I can only hope every kid hears at least once growing up, and that it has the same affect that it has had on myself over the years, that being a song that brings back nothing but happiness and great memories, and now for my children what I hope to be happy times in there lives as well, and maybe someday they can look back and have the same feelings as myself.
