My sister first made this recipe at Christmas about 10 years ago. It was a big hit with the family and now they expect her to make it every year! Heaven forbid that Judy show up without her famous Stained Glass Window candies!

She always makes several batches and takes them to various family gatherings in cute holiday tins. These would even make a neat gift for someone who doesn’t have dietary limitations.

Needless to say, the kids all love them! Luckily, it is very simple to make, and contains few ingredients. It is inexpensive as well. Here is the recipe, so that maybe you can start a tradition for your family holiday!

Stained Glass Windows

12oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup pastel colored miniature marshmallows
1 cup chopped nuts – Peanuts, walnuts, or pecans…your preference)
powdered sugar for dusting

Directions: Melt the chips, either in a microwave, or over hot water and low heat, until smooth. Let this cool slightly, then add nuts and marshmallows.

Stir the marshmallows and nuts into the chocolate very well. You may want to wear those thin disposable gloves for this next part!

Using your hands, immediately roll into logs, dust with powdered sugar, wrap in aluminum foil and refrigerate. When they are cooled firm, slice the logs into pieces of your desired thickness.

I hope you have as much success with this recipe as my sister has had. She was never known as the cook, or baker, of the family. In fact, quite the opposite!

However, she has redeemed herself with these little gems. Nobody else even attempts to make them! They look pretty displayed on a nice Christmas tray…that is, for as long as they can stay there! They do disappear quite quickly! Good Luck and Merry Christmas!
