I am a 28 year old male. Last Xmas I received a sweet Dell XPS laptop. This computer is the best computer I have ever used.
It is totally awesome because I have always wanted a computer that would be good enough to run newer PC games on high graphic settings.
The games Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead look incredible and are in my opinion the two best games that were released in 2008.
This gift also worked out well for my wife as she also is a PC gamer and plays Blizzard’s World of Warcraft which is also a great game. Read More »

I’m a teenage gal that loves music and gadgets. And I don’t think anyone can get too old for a new gadget. It’s hard to resist the latest and greatest piece of technology.
My family must have known these facts because last Christmas I received from them a Sony NWZ-S615F MP3 player. It is the 2GB model in red. I am very pleased with the Christmas gift I received and find it is all I could want in an MP3 player.
Sony is one of my favorite brands and they are a very reliable company. It has the capability to play music, videos, and store pictures. I can now carry my family photos, favorite songs, and video clips with me everywhere I go with no hassle. Read More »

I am a 23 year old male. Last Christmas, my lovely and beautiful wife got me a brand new Digital camera. It wasn’t a typical one, but it was a digital SLR camera which can have many different lenses.
I have been wanting one for a few years but could not afford any. Well, the prices have been going down and my wife was able to get me one. I love it because I like photography a lot and wanted to learn more.
Since then, I have been going places and taking tons of pictures. I have also gotten new lenses and other accessories for the camera. It is a Canon rebel XSI also known as the canon 450D. Read More »

I’m 65-year-old grandmother, a semi-invalid with a husband, five living children (we lost one almost three years ago), and a Ph.D. Last year I got mainly gift certificates for book stores for Christmas.
This is what I always get for Christmas, because everybody knows that I read all the time. Besides an indeterminate number of paper books–it used to be 4000 but I think it’s down to about a thousand, both because I now live within two blocks of a library and because I have been slowly replacing paper books with electronic books.
I have three ebook readers–the original Rocket, which in some ways is still the best; the eBookwise, which was the first acceptable copycat of the Rocket and will do some things the Rocket won’t; and the Kindle, which is awkward in the way its buttons work and is not backlit, but it has the most available books of any commercial site, and provides instantaneous electronic download. I am 20, Female. Last year was a small Christmas for my family. We didn’t have much to give each other but all of them came together and bought me a Canon Digital Rebel Xti. I love it! I absolutely love it!
Even though it was the only gift I got last year, it’s been the best gift I have ever received! I could not have asked for a better camera. The functions are simple and easy to use. I’ve been able to learn how to take great pictures on my own and with little experimentation.
The quality of the camera is superb. The pictures it takes are unlike any I took before. I’m proud to show off my pictures to people. I know that I’m showing them good pictures instead of mediocre ones. Read More »

I am a 22 year old female. I love to travel to new place, and have mainly traveled within the United States; however, this last Christmas changed that. Last Christmas, my parents surprised me with a gift of round trip plan tickets to travel to Munich, Germany and Paris, France in March.
I loved this gift. They told me that my Christmas gift would be the best gift I have ever gotten and teased me about it for weeks and they were right. The only place I had ever been outside the country was Mexico, and living in Texas, that is easy to accomplish.
My father was born in Germany, so I was excited to see what it is like to spend time there and learn more about my heritage. I was also excited to go to France. My mother went when she was a few years younger than I am now, as a graduation gift from her parents. Read More »

As a thirty-three year old female, I have had a lot of different Christmas experiences. But, last Christmas I had the opportunity to experience exactly what Christmas is all about.
We did not have much money last Christmas, I had just started my own business and we were finding it hard to get by on my husbands income.
Now, at this point we did not know what we were going to do about buying our little boy a nice Santa gift. He loves trains and tractors and I had found the perfect gift. It was a John Deere choo choo train that he could ride on.
It came with its own track and everything. The only problem…it was one hundred dollars. Where was I going to get a hundred dollars to buy this awesome gift? The answer came in a Christmas present I received from my grandmother. Read More »

I am a 30-year-old female with 3 children. Last year for Christmas I was given a special edition of the board game Scrabble. I love that gift, just wish I could get someone to play it with me now.
My husband gave me a new set of pots and pans – not very romantic, but badly needed. He also gave me a power drill so I would stop asking his dad if I could borrow his.
Again, not very romantic, but I was thrilled it was for me since he can’t be trusted with a tool at all! My mother gave me a blanket wrap – it’s the softest and coziest fabric I’ve ever had near my skin!
She also gave me a gift card to JCPenny so I could finally get some nice curtains for my living room. I used the gift card to buy gifts for my sister-in-law’s wedding gift.
I’m running out of excuses why I haven’t bought my curtains yet when my mom asks about it! My mother also bought me a cheap coffee maker so she and my father could have coffee when they come over for Christmas breakfast! Read More »

I am a 74 year old grandmother of seven and mother of four. Naturally, I receive a great many gifts throughout the year but especially at Christmas time. Last year I received over 20 different gifts, but there was one in particular that I cherished the most.
It was from my 4 year old granddaughter Kae. What was so important about this gift? Was it expensive? Was it something I needed? Was it something exquisite and delicate? No, none of those would describe this particular present.
As I said before, it came from my youngest granddaughter, who just turned four this month. I looked at the big mountain of packages that had my name scribbled on the tiny cards attached, and this little envelope just caught my attention.
When I picked it out from among the various boxes and bags, my granddaughter recognized it immediately and starting clapping her fat little hands saying “grandma, that’s mine”. Of course, we all laughed and I carefully proceeded to unwrap my very special envelope. Read More »
