I am now 24 years old and married and have a little baby. A couple years ago my husband (fiancé at the time!) bought me a watch.
I have always loved watches but they either always broke or I lost them.
He found me this gorgeous white gold watch , with most of the numbers (I hate the roman numeral kind!), and it has tiny diamonds on the right and left sides of the face. Read More »

I am a 50 year old female and I received Christmas gifts from my husband, daughter, son, friends, coworkers, my father, my two brothers and church friends.
I received cologne, shoes, clothes, stationary, socks, bible, gloves, books, bracelet, digital camera, digital frame and a new TV.
My favorite of all times is the digital frame. It took me a couple of weeks to have the time to play with it, but it was and is fantastic.
I used pictures of my daughters wedding and placed them on a disc and set the frame in my office. Read More »

My favorite Christmas song is Sleigh Ride. That song epitomizes everything Christmas has come to mean to me and has always meant to me from childhood. It is all about having a great time in winters.
I grew up in New England so the lyrics about cheeks being nice and rosy really hit home. It is always cold in the fall and winter months and I am used to a White Christmas. Didn’t really take many sleigh rides as I lived in the city and not the country, but I did a lot of sledding, which is good enough.
I just know the song from my childhood. During Christmas season we always played Christmas songs in my home. We played everything from Burl Ives to the Temptations and Ella Fitzgerald. I don’t have many funny stories regarding the song, but every time I was outside when I was young and it began snowing, I’d start singing this song at the top of my lungs. Read More »

We are finally spending Christmas in our very first new home. After living in a two bedroom apartment for so long, this will be a Christmas of a lifetime.
My dear mother won a lottery and bought me the house of my dreams. It is a three bedroom home with 3 bathrooms and a basement.
I also have a fire place, which is one thing I always wanted to have in a home. On the main floor you have a living room, den, kitchen, laundry room and dining room.
The first floor also has a screen room. I love this feature as we can sit outside in all kinds of weather. All the floors are ceramic tile. I have cathedral ceilings and all appliances are stainless steel. Read More »

My most useful Christmas decoration is Christmas lights. How useful they are. I hang them on my tree and hang them around all the windows of my apartment so people can see the lights outside. I spent about $50 on them at Wall mart one year, and haven’t needed to replace them as of yet.
I also buy a Christmas tree each year. I buy them my tree from the Boy Scouts each year. I don’t have a very big place, so I buy the smallest tree I can. I spend around $20 for the tree each year.
I buy microwave popcorn, constriction paper, thread and a needle threader if I need one, and a bottle of Elmer’s glue. When I get home, I microwave the popcorn and with my family, thread the popcorn into strings with the needle and thread. Read More »

I am a Twenty seven year old married female. This past Christmas was a simple Christmas for us so I remember the holiday fondly.
Usually I am budget wise around the later part of the year with my finances so I can splurge on presents when it comes to giving gifts and I stubbornly hope for the same return although only wishing and never expecting or envying.
This past Christmas I received a sterling silver diamond circle pendant from Zales.
I like it because it was actually wrapped and he picked it out himself for once. Usually if I get a gift and the price tag is NOT on it or it has been wrapped I know this gift was not personally picked from my husband. Read More »

I’m getting ready to travel to England for college and my girlfriend is a writer whose publisher is based in London.
The idea of someone getting us a house in England would just be perfect.
We have always had those “when I’m rich…” talks as everyone does, and it’s always been about a nice comfy house. She and I always talk about having a large library with old books, all leather bound and glided pages. Read More »

I’m 27 years old and a female. Last year I got some really great gifts from my family. From my mother I got the calendar Dragonalgy, which was beautiful and it has all sorts of little things, like cards and letters in it.
From my father I got a creme brula set, which I had been eyeballing for a while. The only problem I have had is that I can’t find the butane to fill it.
From my sister I got Bath and Bodywork bubble bath and shower gel. I love the scents and I only use them for my relax time.
From my husband I got McFarlane Dragons, since I’m a collector I loved them; he also gave me AVP figures. Read More »

My favorite Christmas song is about Santa being stuck in the chimney. It’s called “There’s Something in the Chimney”. It just seems like that is something that would happen in our family.
My kids came in when they heard this and started laughing saying that’s just something that would happen since I’m a very accident prone person. We first heard it in New Hampshire and now we play it all the time.
The funniest part is they keep saying that the thing in the chimney has been there all week long and no one bothers to check until it starts smelling and Santa doesn’t show up at their house.
I feel sorry that my favorite song isn’t about the joys of the Christ Child being born but most of the songs are about it and I realize what the holiday is all about. We play “Little Drummer Boy” and all the religious songs too but once in a while you have to add a little laughter and happiness throughout the year. Read More »

Oh to receive such a wonderful gift would mean to be truly loved and blessed, If I had to ever even make a guess at who would or could give such a gracious gift , I would only assume it to be someone from outside my own family as I highly doubt it would be in anyone’s budget in my own family, but if I had to make a guess who would if possible give such a thing I would say it would be my mother.
And if there was ever a house that I have dreamed of it would be a something simple a Ranch style or Townhouse design of some sort.
I have always loved the look and feel of the Ranch style, its so practical being only 2 levels and typically the basement being an area that can be refinished into a great room(s) to host gatherings of the family or perfect for kids to play or whatever. Read More »
