We always start with the outdoor Christmas decor

With Christmas being one of my family’s favorite holidays, we decorate a lot. We always start with the outdoor decor. We have an eight foot inflatable snowman and penguin. The penguin has a Merry Christmas green and white striped scarf.

There are lights throughout both blowups so they can been seen as people are driving by the house. We set them up first usually at the upper end of our home. We then hang icicle lights across the front of the house. We have a Santa Stop Here lighted stop sign that sits at the end of our driveway.

I take plastic snowflakes that are covered in glitter (they are about the size of a saucer), put fishing line through each one and hang from limbs on a tree. Underneath the snowflakes we set up a small Santa, sleigh and reindeer. There is a standup card with a spot light shinning on it that says Merry Christmas. We also set up a white branch lighted tree.

We put candy cane sticks in a semi circle and in the center we put the white lighted motion deer. There is the mom, dad and baby! On the inside of the house we put of two trees.

In the family room is a 7 foot narrow tree that is decorated with ornaments from when I was a little girl all the way to present time with the kids ornaments. The other tree is also 7 foot tall, but 6 foot across. It is decorated with mostly just bows and brass ornaments. Both trees have white lights.

There is a nativity scene on a table at the front entrance of the house. The front door has a lighted wreath and the back door has a painted shovel with a snowman on it. There are fiber optic moving angles sitting in different areas of the house.

The mantel has five Christmas stocking hanging from it. Each is different, but go together beautifully. We make it a family treat to decorate everything. It truly is a decorated house, inside and out!

Share your Christmas experience, we are impatient to read it :-)
