We are finally spending Christmas in our very first new home

We are finally spending Christmas in our very first new home. After living in a two bedroom apartment for so long, this will be a Christmas of a lifetime.

My dear mother won a lottery and bought me the house of my dreams. It is a three bedroom home with 3 bathrooms and a basement.

I also have a fire place, which is one thing I always wanted to have in a home. On the main floor you have a living room, den, kitchen, laundry room and dining room.

The first floor also has a screen room. I love this feature as we can sit outside in all kinds of weather. All the floors are ceramic tile. I have cathedral ceilings and all appliances are stainless steel.

We have a beautiful landscaped yard with a swimming pool. A girl could not ask for anything more.

The upstairs has a big master bedroom with his and hers walk in closets. It also has a master bedroom full bathe. The upstairs also consists of 2 other bedrooms each with a walking closet.

To finish off upstairs we have another bathroom, adjoining the two bedrooms. To finish off the house we have full basement with wood burner. It has a bar and entertaining area. The basement also has a half bath.

It is all laminate flooring. Also in the basement is a little enclosed wine cellar and a door leading to the garage. Great for nasty weather. We can get out of our vehicle and enter house through the basement.

The house has a deck going all around, from the front to the back. In the back part of the deck we have a built in barbecue and fire pit. I could not ask for anything more. I wouldn’t care if I received another Christmas gift for years to come.

This is the best ever! We live in an urban area, close to the water. We can get up every morning and go to the deck and read the paper with our coffee. It is a beautiful site, we can see the mountains far across the water. Its like a dream every day that I wake up!

Share your Christmas experience, we are impatient to read it :-) »
