We decided to steal Christmas wreaths off people’s doors
Years and years ago, when my Sister and I were young teenagers, we used to sneak out our bedroom windows in the middle of the night and just walk around the neighborhood.
Well one year, around Christmas time, we decided to steal Christmas wreaths off peoples doors. Terrible huh? After stealing around 10 or so we got back home and weren’t sure what we should do with all these Christmas wreaths so we just left them on our porch and climbed back in our windows and went to sleep.
We woke up to my Mom telling my Dad “someone put a ton of Christmas wreaths on our porch”. My Mom ended up keeping them and actually using them year after year. Now that we are grown adults we joke about it and my Mom thinks its quite funny.
My Mom gave my Sister and me each a few wreaths as we moved out and started our own families. Needless to say, I always have a Christmas wreath on my front door around Christmas time.
The kids know the story and once the Christmas wreath is on my door its officially Christmas time at our house. I love all the Christmas wreaths. They just add such charm!
