What 55 years old woman wants for a Christmas gift?
Last Christmas, I received a big red blanket from my boyfriend. I needed a new blanket very badly; however, I decorate and match everything perfectly, so when He got me a red blanket, when what I really needed was a navy blue blanket, I wasn’t sure what to do.
The reason is that I normally fold my two sided bed spread down half way to expose the blanket designer style and then put many matching throw pillows on top. With the red blanket I was not able to do that so easily because the red clashed with my other colors.
So, I take it off in the summer and it’s fine, and in the winter months I just cover it with the bed spread. I of course never told him I didn’t like it. I would never hurt his feelings that way. He put thought into what I might need and that was ultimately more important to me than the gift.
He also got me a single bed frame for my mattress in my spare bedroom, also a very thoughtful gift. He knows I like to shop at Kohl’s so he also gave me a gift certificate to Kohl’s. I am a 55 years old woman. To my age I guess it’s more the thought that counts in the end. Priorities in life are learned I guess.
I also got $50 from his sweet mother. Maybe I’ll buy that navy blue blanket some day when my red one wears out! lol!
